origin: /amalg is the collaborative brainchild of Nikeeta Arthur and Peter Bloor, both now living on opposite sides of the world. Since it's inception, a growing assemblage of people from all walks of life and specialising in many different disciplines have joined the art collective, collaborating in projects that seek to titillate the senses with installations that both delight and haunt. Boundaries between rave culture and contemporary art practice are traversed. Utilising dejected domestic hardware and reclaimed materials, speculative futures are realised in the present, as biological and technical elements fuse in the creation of new immersive environments.
